Why We Founded Rupokar
In early 2024, our founders spent months walking through the artisan jewelry workshops of Tanti Bazar, Old Dhaka, and garment design studios in Mirpur and Banani. What we found were brilliant master artisans and generational businesses struggling with fractured bookkeeping, manual gold weighing on scraps of paper, and foreign ERPs that couldn’t calculate a single Vori (ভরি) of gold.
Off-the-shelf software from Silicon Valley or generic legacy suites either ignored domestic trade customs or required expensive, brittle workarounds for multi-currency trade.
We created Rupokar Technologies (রূপকার) to solve this: an interconnected family of cloud software tailored for the exact mathematical, cultural, and multi-currency commerce realities of modern enterprises across domestic and international markets.
